Hill Country Cichlid Club
Hailed as the C.A.R.E.S. Preservation Program's flagship club, the Hill Country Cichlid Club is very active in it's C.A.R.E.S. efforts.
The Hill Country Cichlid Club serves the I-35 corridor including Austin, San Antonio, and the rest of the Texas Hill Country, we are a group of cichlid hobbyists that meet monthly to share our passion and promote all things related to the family cichlidae. We have an active Breeder Award Program which recognizes the efforts of propagating our pets, the flagship HCCC CARES Program and our publication “The Lateral Line” lists all prevalent information associated with the HCCC along with outstanding articles from the membership. The discussion board and chat room provides a fix for conversation in between our monthly meetings.
The HCCC holds a number of auctions each year along with an annual show. Regular field and collecting trips, BBQ’s and other outings (all family oriented) provide something for everyone. World famous cichlid authorities regularly speak at club functions but it is the camaraderie of the membership that makes this organization special.
The C.A.R.E.S. Preservation Program is about our fish,
and it is about people.
We are one team, working together. Please, clear a tank ~ save a fish!
Because of you, we are making a difference! |
